Southeast Alabama Community Theater (SEACT)
The Southeast Alabama Community Theatre is a non-profit organization made up of gifted volunteers. It was established in 1974 by a group of talented individuals looking for a new cultural venue in the Wiregrass. SEACT has presented more than 100 theatrical productions to the community since its creation performing three or four shows each year. Shows have been performed at the Dothan Opera House and at The Center. Auditions are open to the public and are held throughout the year.

Southeast Alabama Dance Company (SEADAC)
Tracy Solomon founded the Southeast Alabama Dance Company in 1978 with the help of several dance enthusiasts in Dothan. SEADAC primarily emphasizes training in classical ballet but also provides instruction in jazz and modern dance. Auditions for the company are held every August. SEADAC presents the classic ballet, "The Nutcracker" every December as well as a spring performance and a free summer show that is open to the public.

Patti Rutland Jazz
Patti Rutland Jazz is a contemporary jazz and hip hop dance company based in Dothan, Alabama. One of the most innovative dance companies in the Southeast, PRJ combines highly energized hip hop dance styles with contemporary and classical jazz styles to create a new vocabulary of dance that appeals to diverse audiences and dancers alike. Coupled with this highly explosive dance company is Patti Rutland Jazz' Outreach Program which marries their professional dancers to an outlet by which they provide free weekly dance classes to under served children.

Tri-State Community Orchestra
The Tri-State Community Orchestra was founded in 1995 to provide musicians the opportunity to play, learn and help educate others about the joy of orchestral music. The Tri-State Community Orchestra is open to all ages and musical abilities. Rehearsals are Thursdays at 6 p.m. in the Center.

Dothan Wiregrass Art League
The Dothan Wiregrass Art League is an organization of local artists who have banded together to promote art in the community. DWAL sponsors art shows, exhibits and workshops. Many of the artists teach weekly art classes to the community. For more information about classes, call 334-792-9655.

Music South
Music South's mission is to provide children and adults of the Wiregrass with quality musical performances and music education experiences. Music South has created programming for symphony, jazz, youth music programs and free outdoor concerts.

National Railroad Historical Society
Formed in 1989, The Railroad Society offers opportunities for Wiregrass area railroading enthusiasts who enjoy all aspects of railroading from building and operating model railroading layouts and equipment to full-size trains and railroads. The Railway Historical Society meets at 2 p.m. on the second Sunday of each month, except June and July, at The Cultural Arts Center.

Dothan Service League
The Dothan Service League was organized in 1946 by an organization of women who were dedicated to volunteering their time and talents to various clinics and fund-raising projects to develop and support community charities. The organizations that the League assists not only benefit from volunteering, but financially as well. The League has given more than $100,000 in scholarships to Wallace Community College and Troy University in Dothan. The League is probably best known for their nationally acclaimed cookbook, Sterling Service, published in 1996.

Dothan-Houston County Substance Abuse Partnership
The Dothan-Houston County Substance Abuse Partnership was created in 1992 to educate young people about the dangers of alcohol, smoking and drugs. More than 75 youth council members mentor their peers and local school children and teach programs that deal with smoking, social problems and abstinence.

SAFE Program
An intervention program for abusers of others. It is an eighteen week violence intervention program that combines education and group processes to teach the individual how to control what he/she thinks, says and does. Serves the Dothan, Enterprise, Geneva, Ozark and Troy areas.
